Tobin Adams
I grew up in Austin, Texas and went to college at the University of Texas at Austin. I also have a MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Florida. After business school, I went to work for a mortgage company here in Austin and stayed there for almost five years. After a couple promotions, I was one of the traders for the company, handling all their conventional loans. During my time there, I sold over 50,000 mortgages in the secondary market and was responsible for trading more than $15 billion in mortgage backed securities. Because of my experience, I consider myself an expert on mortgages.
In the summer of 2021, I left there to start my own mortgage brokerage company with the purpose of giving back. I donate 5% of my annual profits to charities and non-profits that help the greater Austin community. In 2023, after some experiences with my clients. I decided to expand what I can do for my clients and I got my real estate license, further broadening my knowledge and reach in residential housing.
I enjoy watching movies and a variety of sports. I am a huge college football fan and love rooting for the Longhorns each year. A few years ago, I caught a series on Netflix about Formula 1 and really got into the sport. In 2022, I volunteered as a track marshall at the Formula 1 race here in Austin at Circuit of the Americas.
