Do Your Research!

Buying or selling your home can be a stressful experience.  Having a good real estate agent can really lower the anxiety and tension of going through the transaction.  Make sure and do your research before signing with an agent.  According to Zillow, "half of buyers say their agent was their most helpful resource."  Time recommends to "pick the top three [agents] you think might be a good fit and make an appointment to meet with them. Meeting with multiple agents can help you compare and see if you like the communication style of one over another."  Make sure your real estate agent really knows the market, because different parts of the same city can have completely different markets.  For example, recently I have been hosting some open houses in the 78704 zip code in south Austin, where some of the homes have been on the market for more than half a year.  That market is definitely a buyers market.  Yet, at the same time, I have gone shopping with a client of mine in Pflugerville, which is a suburb in north east Austin, where we have seen homes repeatedly go on the market and sold within a week.  These are two distinctly different markets in the same city!!!

I have recently started a YouTube Channel, where I'll post weekly videos with content on mortgages and real estate.  Also, I am in the process of making videos on all the topics that I cover in my webinars, so they will be accessible at anytime.

According to Mortgage News Daily, the average daily rate on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage is 7.12%.
